My Reflections On Blogging

Thinking about my experience of blogging..... I think about the assignments we had to do for the weeks, I think about the amount of words that I need to write, and I think about how hard it was to be motivated to blog. But now I'm thinking different. I really enjoyed blogging because I got to talk about the things that really mattered to me even if they weren't really important to others around me. I mean as you could see I loved talking about tennis shoes....thats because tennis shoes are my life....wait.... not really. One of my favorite things to do was to customize my blog to fit my personality, even though I really couldn't do much to it, it still felt like it was apart of me. One of the things I noticed while blogging was that I was growing in my computer skills(mabe), but really..,. I noticed that I was growing to become more interested in my school work and more into my blog. I started writing on my blog like someone was really goinig to read it, I mean some people were but its ok. I loved that I got to express myself throughout my blog, it kind of made me feel like I was important... it made me feel like I was outspoken, usually I keep to myself until something I really care about is mentioned..... wait let me take that back because I talk to people I really don't even know Lol. The koo thing about the whole experince was that I got to look at other peoples blogs to get ideas. The ways I came up with ideas on my blog was that I had conversations with my friends about certain things or I either read something the magazine or on the internet.............overall the experince was great and I would like to thank my teacher Mr. Ayers for introducing me to blogging, I had fun!

Ok I don't know what the deal is now a days, but I have been seeing sooooo many people wearing these glasses. Everybody is usually getting their glasses in a black plastic rimmed form tomake them seem kind of nerdy. I have seen these glasses on celebs like Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne. I mean I like them but I don't know if I really want to be everybody else.......as i think about it ...... I guess being a nerd is kind of koo. I mean people are wearing plaid shirts, suspenders and converse all stars, all of which is the attire of plenty of famous nerds. Its crazy thinking about how everybody resented nerds and they always made fun of them, but now people are trying so hard to be like them. But anyways ...... the glasses you can probably find at any eyeglass place but the only thing you probably have to worry about is the pricing, I mean i can't find the pricing right now but all i got to say is that it depends on the namebrand you want for the glasses. So go head and get your nerd on!

The New Artists In The Game

Ever since I've seen this music video on the computer, I've been addicted to this song called "Slow Jukin", which is sung a new/old and up-coming- artist Young Steff. He's currently signed to Richcraft/Alantic Records. As a young child Steff experienced the lime light with his father, who was in a gospel group named Spirit. He used to compete in talent shows (which he usually won) and always wooed the audience with his ability to hit certain notes. At age twelve his demo landed in the hands of Roca-Fella Records owners Jay-z and Damon Dash and to his surprise he got signed. During his time with the Roc he made a name for himself with his hit "Can I Holla" which featured Bow Wow. As his stardom became known something came around that he didn't expect....the owners of the record label he was signed to were parting ways. So he had to make a difficult decision.... it was either to stay with Damon Dash and the label that he just newly created or move on and venture on his own. So what do you think he chose to do... he chose to move on with life and become a free agent. After making the decision, life's journey led him to success once again. He's back on the block with his album rumored to be titled "Jump It Off' which was supposed to be released in September 8th 2008 , but now its supposed to be out in early 2009. So when his album comes out I think everone shuld go out and buy it, to show him suome love. Below is his new video for his hit Slow Jukin', enjoy!

The Only Book I Really Liked!

This book by far is the only book I really got into besides the other books I read in the past. The story of how I found the book is pretty kool. It all started when a group that I participated in went to Atlanta to stay there for a week and on one of the days we were there, we went to a all African American book store called the Shrine of the Black Madonna. We had to buy a book there and I was looking but I couldn't find nothing that really caught my eye or my attention, but at the end of my journey of finding a book this cover caught me off gaurd because of the color and characterization on it. So I read the back of the back of the book which had the little summary on it and that just intrigued me even more, so I had to buy it. But heres the down fall I showed the book to my teacher and she told me to get a better book, so i did, but it was not good at all.So when i came back home I made it my mission to go find and buy this book. So I completed my mission and everything went as plan. I began to read and instantly I got caught up, I couldn't stop reading it. My parents were really proud of me because they really never seen me read a book on my free time. The story was amazing, it told a tale abouta dude named Wasuan Wells who has two loves--one is his beautiful girl of two years, Enychi Carter, and the other is his love for dice. Rollin' dice is an everyday hustle for Wasuan, and he's one of the best the hood has ever seen. No one can defeat him. That is, until he stumbles across a dude from the same hood named Tone who has just as much confidence, a little too much mouth, lots of cash to back it up, and a strong desire for Wasuan's girl. When Wasuan is challenged and the stakes grow high, he finds himself caught out in deeper waters than he can swim in, with Tone dangling three options: pay up, take his last breath, or sacrifice something much greater...his girl, Enychi. But when Enychi agrees to spend one night with Tone in order to save her man's life, she finds herself caught up in an unwilling love triangle like the streets have never known. Love, betrayal, lies, sex and money are just the beginning in this scandalous tale, where loyalties are put to the ultimate test. So if you want a good read, you should go to your local library or book store and go cop this book because it is really good!

Look What I Found

Ok I was browsing through my blog archives looking for any mistakes I could of made while I posting my blogs and all of a sudden my eyes caught something......it was the tennis shoes that Keri Hilson was wearing in her photograph. So of course I had to go on the web to see what type of brand they are and came up the name of Creative Recreations. I have seen these shoes on almost every rapper/hip hop artist out in this game from group members of Day26 to Soulja Boy. The deal with these shoes is that you probably won't be able to find these shoes every where like nike dunks or adidas, you would probably have to look in the big cities such as Chicago and New York ( just a couple of examples) to get these shoes. For these shoes you'd have to dig really deep into your pockets to buy these, the usually range from $79.95 to $219.95 depending on what style of shoe you're looking for. Sometimes you can find these shoes at a cheap price like $48.88, but the deal with that is that they don't look as good as the others. The shoes come in four to seven different styles each under a certain subject, so you have a lot of selections to choose from. So go check out the web, I bet you'll find something that will suit your fancy lol!

What Has Missy Been Up To>>>>>

Man its been a while since we've heard from Missy. The last time we've heard from her was with her two hits "Shake Ya Pom Pom" and "Ching-A Ling", on ABDC, and a few adidas commercials. Other than that she's probably been busy working on her up in coming album "Block Party". But let me take you back to all the crazy- issshhhh she has done in the past years. She is the only woman rapper to have six album certified platinum. She has had crazy hits and videos such as " The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)", "Hot Boyz", "Get Ur Freak On", "One Minute Man", "Work It", "Pass That Dutch", "Gossip Folks", "Lose Control", "Ching-A Ling/Shake Ya Pom Pom" and many many more. She has worked with sooooooo many female artist its not even funny. They range from Janet Jackson to Jazmine Sullivan. Most of her greatness is associated with her friend Timbaland. She has a clothing line titled Respect M.E. (which the me can stand for me or either missy elliott)produced by adidas. I can't wait to see what see has in store for the future. The thing I love about Missy is she always shows a new dance in her videos whether its footworkin' or even break dancing. She also puts kids who can dance in her videos too. But besides that I think missy is going to sticking around for a looooooonnngggg time because of her ridiculous swagg and confidence that she has. So who knows if she's going to be the next icon......wait.....she already is!

The Kicks of the Month.....Sooo Sick

Ok I know its been a month or so since I've done the kicks of the month, but now I've brought it back. Anyways like usual I chose a few pair of kicks that I think are the freshest/sickest of them all. The ones above are from the Royale Dontrelle collection, they have three main colors throughout the shoe which you probably can tell is red, orange, and white. The shoes also have intricate details with the playing cards on the side of the shoe to the weaving/swirling pattern on the toe of the shoe. These shoes right here doesn't really have alot, but I still think they're kool. The title of these is "Thrashin". The shoes are going for a 80's theme this year with dunks celebrating skateboarders of the 80s. They come in two colorways inspired by 80s skateboarding video games. The dunks feature a white upper with black accents, neon yellow gums, light blue/grayish midsole, and a pink and blue nike swoosh. Last but definitely not least is the Santana Edition. I really do like these shoes. They have two different color stitching which are pink and teal blue. They're basically all black leather with some patent black leather on the sides. The only downfall for these shoes is the little plant on the side, which would be called Mary Jane, thats why it kind of looks like a woman. It also display the plant on the under side of the shoe, that why the gums of the shoe is see through teal blue so they can expose the little secret it has hidding under the shoe. But hopefully that doesn't take away the sickness of the shoe. Like always I say you basically can find these shoes any where, they come with two different pairs of shoe strings, an they usually cost around $59.99 to $149.99. So keep ya swagg up and go cop some of these!

People Are Going Crazy Over This.... Swine Flu

I don't know what is getting to these people to make them act so crazy......wait yeah I do....its the swine flu that got them acting like this. The swine flu a.k.a. H1N1 is no different from the regular/general flu.First let me break it down to what the swine flu is, it's a respiratory disease common among pigs that is caused by type A influenza viruses. It basically has the same symptoms which are chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headaches, coughing, weakness and general discomfort. The only difference I would say is that the swine flu originated in pigs, who catches the flu then in turn the humans catches it too. The only thing is that the pigs cannot catch the human flu.

One thing people are trippin' about is that they think they can get the flu from food.Humans cannot get the virus from eating pork; pork products; handling of uncooked pork; or consuming fruits and vegetablesjust the same as any other flu or illness, the swine flu is not a food-born illness. There have been 27 deaths from it and 2 being from the U.S. and the other 25 in Mexico. There are plenty of ways of preventing the fl which are wash your hands, cover when you cough, don't touch your face alot, and stay away from people who are sick....duuhhh. So peple ther is no reason for the face masks, just keep kool, it will pass over soon.

Australia...The Place I Would Love To Visit

You guys don't know how much I would love to go to Australia. Well as I think about it I probably could have but the catch is I would miss soooooooo many days of school and the plane ride is a ridiculous 17 plus hour flight and I know I wouldn't be able to handle something that long. The lucky member of my family ( my Dad) just left the other to go on the journey of a lifetime. He's gonna arrive there this coming up wednsday or in Australia's thursday or vice versa, I don't know. But other than that he's going to be there until a couple days after the end of this school year whcih would be June 13th. I just can imagine all the things he gets to see, from the beautiful scenery to the exotic animal of the outback. I mean I think its a great experience to take part in. Australia has so many beaches, places and things to do, I wouldn't know what to do first, from the famous opera house to the zoos, I would lose my mind. I just can;t wait until my dad comes home to show me all the pictures he took.

The New Craze........The Jerk

I 've been going crazy after hearing this song called "You're a Jerk" and then I've heard there was a dance to this song, so of course I went to youtube, a long and behold the dance called the jerk. This dance is came straight out of Cali (California for short), the dance is part of , no no let change that.....it is the Jerkin movement. The movement is a urban youth sub-culture which consists of hyphy beats, skinny jeans, knee bends, backwards Running Man moves and having a “geeked up/skateboard” swagga. The ones who really staed this crazy movement would be the one and only New Boyz, who have a skater boi/ cool kid on the block type of swagg. The I must admit will stick in your head for days because of the crazy beats and the constent repeating of "You're a Jerk " in the background. Thinking about this movement made me to come up to think what will be next.... I mean who will be the person in line to cause a great dance movement or either a teen movement, We probably won't find out until next month lol. But i think this dance/movement is going be around for a long time!!!The video below shows the dance at its best.

Look What I've Found...

Ok, I was on the net a couple days ago checking my email and all of of a sudden this picture of a glowing puppy came on the screen. I had to find out what made the dog glow and how did it happen. I found out that in normal light, Ruppy( the name of the dog) looks like any other beagle puppy. In ultraviolet light, she glows red. She's the first transgenic puppy, which means she was created with some genetic material from another creature which are cloned cells that include a red fluorescent gene sea anemones produce. Researchers from the Seoul National University in South Korea released the photos this week. There are five pictures of glowing animals on aol, they range from cats to pigs that are really krazy kool!

Dance Flick

I am so excited to go see this movie. The title of this movie is "Dance Flick" which is a parody of all the dance and musical movies that have been released. The concept of the movie isabout a rich, suburban white girl named Megan White who gets into a series of misadventures when she moves to the inner-city. Street-smart Thomas helps her along the way. The movie stars Damon Wayans Jr., ShoShana Bush, Marlon and Shawn Wayans, and many other famous actors. The movie is a spoof many movies like Flash Dance, High School Musical, Hairspray, Step Up, How She Move, You Got Served, Bring It On, and lastly Save The Last Dance, which you can really tell from the movie trailer. The movie is directed by Damien Dante Wayans and written by his uncles the Wayans Brothers. They decided to use the word "Flick" instead of "Movie" which they always used in the four Scary movies. The movie was set to release on February 6, then moved to August 14 and now set to release on May 22. Either way I'm planning to see this movie just to get some good laughs in. Hopeully you'll go and see the movie to support the Wayans.

The Dances That Are Blowing Up

OK here's the deal about this dance, I first seen this dance on BET's 106 n Park,on Wild 'n' Out Wednsday, where people get to show their new projects on the new dance crazes that they're working on. Ever since I saw this dance called "Do Da Hammerhead" I've been hooked. I've been watching it on youtube just trying to get the dance moves done. The creator of this crazy dance is this dude named Lil' Speedie and I think he's going to be the next Soulja Boy.....mabe. But sooner or later this dance is going to be big and you''ll look back to see that i was the one to introduce you to it.

Next up is the Ricky Bobby, the dance is created off of the movie Tallageda Night: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The dance uses steps from that came from the movie. The artist of this song is B Ahmp, who is part of the Southern music movement. He hopes to make this dance nationwide and with that he has already received 1.3 million views on his youtube account for the instruction and track video. So I want be surprised when this dance does becoming something. So keep doing your thang' B Hamp.

The New Style......

OK heres the deal about the style thats going around in the teen/ young adult culture. The trend that I and other people have been weairng is suspenders..... I know they're kind of dorky (made popular by the famous nerd Steve Urkel) but I think they're sick. I mean they really can make something you wear stand out. They come in a range of colors, styles (which are clip on or button on), and patterns. They usually cost around $15 to $20 dollar depending on what type you bought. You can buy them at Hot Topic, Spencers, and some men's tuxedo places. So look around you might find somebody wearing them at your school, but be aware because people love to snap them when you're not paying attention!

Yeeeeeaaaaaah I know studded belts are really popular in the punk rock/ emo/skateboard culture, but all of a sudden they're making a landslide into the hip hop culture. I have started seeing them on such artisr as Lil' Wayne, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and many others. I recently have gotten into the vibe of them because of the different styles they're coming out with now a days. I'm noticing that the studs of the belts are varying in color and pattern. What I mean by that is the belt can have different colors of studs or leather, whether you can put belt buckles on the belt, the type of studs the belt uses whether its pyramid studs or spike studs. But either way these belts are sick. So don't think the belt is just for the punk rock or emo culture , you can wear them and put your swagg on them, which this blog is all about.

The Crazy Fairs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I'm really excited for this summer because of the crazy fairs that are going to be around and all the people i see there. Ther main fairs that most teens go to are the Sweet Corn Festival and Hog Wild Days. Hog Wild Days I would say is better than the Sweet Corn Festival because the fair has better rides, more room to walk around, they have fireworks on the last day, more games to play, and it seems that more people go to it. But on the other hand the Sweet Corn Festival is a great place to hang out if you want to get out the house. It has a limited amount of rides and games and not so much room to walk around, but that don't seem to phase many teens. I'm really hyped up on the things to come during this summer. So even though there ain't much to do Iowa, you can at least find a little something to do during the summer!

The New Nintendo DSi !

I'm really excited for the new release of the Nintedno DSi that came out this month. The pricing of this new delectable item ranges from $169.99 to $179.99 just depending on where you get it. The new deal about this is that it has two a 3 mega pixel cameras (one on the inside and one on the outside), a larger screen, improved sound quality and speakers, you can listen to music which you can save on a SD card, and you can browse the web using its DSiWare, but you have to have internet connection to do that. This gadget is so outrageously ridiculous, it has everything a teenager coul possibly want. I believe this piece of technology will something big. So save up your money and go buy one! I know I will!

Look Whose Back!?!?

Mannnn it's been a while since we have heard from the Black Eyed Peas. This group was a major deal with hits such as " My Humps", "Don't Lie", "Where is the Love?", "Pump It", "Shut Up", " Don't Phunk with My Heart", and " Gone Going". The main reason for that is because most of the group members have been doing their own thing. Fergie came out with her own album 2 years ago but her hits are still hot today. Will.I.Am has been producing for alot of people and came up with a couple hits of his own that support our new president. You probably have seen Taboo and Apl.De.Ap in the audince lately on America Best Dance Crew, other than that they're keeping a low profile. Besides that, the group has came back with a radio killa. The new song is titled "Boom Boom Pow" is being played on all of the major stations, which is most likely to be another hit of theirs. I really can't wait to see what the future holds for this group because they're one of the major groups that is still going strong. So I have high hopes for the group, they better not let me down!

My Plans For the Future

This right here above is my dream job. To be exact to designing shoes for a major shoe industry or make up my own so I can sell them myself would be my dream job. I really began looking into this job a few summers ago because I was always so interested in how the shoes were made but I also was intrigued to be the person to say that "I was the one who design the shoe you're wearing". I love tennis shoes. Nothing makes me happier than to buy to a brand new pair of kicks and to be the first and only to wear them. Thats why i believe this job is truly meant for me. But now as I start to think about it more, I really want to become my own label, so I can sell not just shoes, but clothes and shades too. The real hard partabout this is that I have to find a college that has the majors that I need to make my dream job come true. I narrowed it down to down to two colleges ( mainly one) which are the Institue of Art in Chicago and The University of Northern Iowa ( which I most likely will go to). I'm going to try to major in three different majors which are business and marketing, fine arts, and design. But lets just see where my future leads me!!!

The Next Knowles Up in Line

This Knowles is up in line for the next superstar. Her name is .......Solange not Beyonce'. Don't get her mixed up with her sister. She's a whole different person with a new/ old school style of music with her new album Sol- Angel and The Hadley St. Dreams. You probably have seen her in movies such as "Johnson's Family Vacation" and Bring it On: All Or Nothing. She's been around for a while now and she's showing that she can holdher on. She's been through alot these past years. She's been married and divorced and has a little boy named Daniel Juelz, who describes as her pride and joy. She came out with her first album in 2003 titled Solo Star. But i think this album will be one of her best since its been a while since she last released a album and i think she had time to develop and come into her own. So I wish her the best in all she does.

The Argument of Sampling Music

Oooooookkkk, theres been a big argument going on about the sampling of music. The main purpose of this subject is alot of company believe that they should get money for people sampling their music. Alot of music artist are guilty for doing this like, Flo Rida, Diddy, Twista, and many more, but I can't think of them right now. A major company that is causing the most problems would have to be limewire because teens/adults are downloading music for free. This is causing music artist to lose money and their record label to lose money also. Most teens I talk to say they rather download music for free because the money adds up when you have to have to pay to download even though they don't realize that its taking money out of the artist pockets. Some people feel that they are tribute to the artist when they make a remix or sample of an artist music, but the artist don't feel the same about that. But we'll have to stick around to see how this debate comes around.

The Heart of the Teenage Life........The Cell Phone

This little gadget to the left is a cellphone and its the heart of the teenage commmuntiy. It holds teenager loveones and friends numbers but it also holds the key to the world around us. For us teenagers, we probably could not live with out this device. But anyways this phone is one of the few new phones that are coming out this year. Its called the HTC Touch Pro2. Its a 3G window mobile 6.1 smatr phone with many different features which are TouchFLO 3D navigation, handwriting recognition, touch sensitive zoom bar, microSD slot, stereo Bluetooth, HSDPA data, 3.15 megapixel camera, Pocket Office, GPS and Wifi.So we definitely have to keep a look out for this phone. So we might be able to purchase this in the near future, so lets keep our hopes up.

The A.C.T.

Maaaaaannnnn you don't know how nervous I am to take the A.C.T. this coming up saturday. This is how I see the test. I see it as a major thing that can affect my furture in a positive way but if I slack off it could turn into something negative. The purpose of this test is it can get me scholarships into college or even mabe some financial help if I do well on the test. The perfect score on this test is 36. I've been talking to alot of people who have taken the test and they tell not to stress, but i can't help it. They also tell me to use the book that you can order to help you study for it. Most of the people got good scores like 25- 31, so it's giving me confidence and the courage to do my best on the test. My goal for the test is to aim high like lets say 30 and mabe get a little lower than what I aimed for. This hopefully will help me stay positive. so wish me good luck cause I'm going to need it.

More T.V.Shows That You Can't Get Enough Of

OK theres something about seeing bullies getiing beat up for the time on television that just peaks my interest. The show of course is titled "Bully Beatdown" which comes on at sunday night on Mtv around 8:30p.m. or 9:30p.m. depending on where you live. the basics about this show is victims who experience bullying reach out to the host Jason "mayhem" miller, who gives them the help they need by calling out their bully and challenging them to a duel with a professional MMA (mixed martial arts)fighter thats just their size. They have the chance to win 10 Gs, but this is how they determine that. In round 1, each time the bully taps out during the 3 minute round he loses 1 grand and he only has 5 grand to start off wtihin this round, which in turn will go to their victim and in the 2nd round if the bully gets knocked out, punks out, or the referee has to stop the fight the bully gets nada and the other half of the money goes to their victim. So stick around to see who else gets knocked out this season.

Maaaaannnn O' man, I think this is one of the best shows out. The show is titled " Taking the Stage" which aired a few weeks ago on Mtv. The show comes on every thursday at 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. The show takes place in the heart of Cincinnati at SCPA( School for Creative and Performing Arts). All of the talented teenagers have to audition to get into this school, and once in they spend most of their time perfecting their talents so they can go out and pursue their dreams. You get to meet Jasmine, the ballerina. Malik, the choregrapher and songwriter/singer. Shaakira, the dancer and aspiring actress. Mia, the songwriter. And last but not least Tyler, the hip hop dancer. All the teens have to deal with regular teen problem while also balancing their talent. So I would advise you to watch this show because it gives you something to hope for in your own life.

This show is beginning to get ridiculously good. And when I mean "this" show, I'm talking about Making the Band 4. The show comes on at 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. on Mtv every thursday. You get to see Danity Kane after their break up and struggling to move on, you see Mr. Donnie work on his second album, and Day 26 struggling with their " brotherly problems". I just can't get enough of their arguements and fights over dumb isssh, but thats how life goes. You will just have to catch this, to see what I'm talking about. And all I can say is " Is this the making the band curse? 2 down mabe 1 to go???? will see!

He just released his new album "Love vs. Money", which I would say is pretty ok compared to his last album and he just signed a female hip hop/r&b group Electrik Red to his label Radio Killa Records. There's so much to say about this guy and all of his goals and achivement, I don't know where to end, So all I'll say is look him up on the web and figure it out for yourself.

Okkkk you might of first seen this dude in the famous boy group "Pretty Ricky" but now he's on his on. His name is Pleasure P a.k.a. Marcus Cooper and he's going be something big in the near future. He has made such hits as "Did You Wrong", "Boyfriend # 2" and his other "Rock Bottom" which has really gained that much popularity. He has gained much of his popularity recently from being featured on Flo- Rida's second single "Shone" from his up in coming album R.O.O.T.S. Pleasure's album is being released on May 5th 2009, it was suppose be released in January, but then it got pushed to march 31st and now the may date. I believe he's going be around for a long time.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, thats the sound of Bobby Valentino's new hit "Beep" off of his new album " The Rebirth". He has made such hits as "Turn the Page","Anonymous"," Tell Me", "Slow Down" and "My Angel" just to name a few. Raised in Atl, the artist was apart of a boy quartet named Mista. They made a hit titled "Blackeberry molasses". Another thing that you might not know about him is that he auditioned for American Idol but he didn't make the cut. Later on in his years he was signed to Disturbing tha Peace records but later moved on because of being frustrated of the sales and delays, so he went to bigger and better things. Now he's currently signed to Blu Kolla Dreams and is something to be looking forward to do great things in the near future.

The Female Artists of the Month

As you see in this picture here Ciara is no joke. Her dance skillz are soooooo ridiculous, she can almost out dance anybody if you wanna challenge her.She was discovered in Atl by famous producer Jazze Phae. She was first introduced with her first album titled "Goodies", which was also the title of her hit single featuring Petey Pablo. She has made serious name for herself, some call her "The Princess of Crunk&B". She has starred in the film " All You've Got" and also will be starring in up in coming film "Mama I Want to Sing" that will be released in the spring of 2009 hopefully(because it was supposed to be released some time last year). But anyway she made so many hits from "1,2, Step" to"Get Up" to "Promise" and even now wih her new hit "Never Ever" from her soon to be released album titled " Fantasy Ride". So I predict this young lady is going to be around for a very long time!!!

Okkkkkk, I know Keri Hilson has around for a minute, but now I think its her time to make some serious steps in the music industry this year, well especially this month. From her insane colored eyes to her vocals, she is really doing it big.She was discovered by Timbaland and was quickly signed to his label Mosley Music Imprint in 2006.She has written top hits such as Omarion's "Ice Box", Mary J. Blige's "Take Me As I Am", The PussyCat Dolls's "Wait a Minute" and Ciara's "Like a Boy", but now its her time to shine. She has came up with with hits " Energy" and every favorite song "Turnin' Me On". I believe she's going to be something huge in the years to come, no better yet months to come. So we'll have to keep an eye out for her, keep doing ya thang Keri!!!

Man if you don't know this girl right here to the left, you should google her because she's becoming something major. Her name is Teyana Taylor, you might have seen her on MTV's season four "My Super Sweet Sixteen", where she had a 80's skateboard party. This girl does it all, she dances, she raps, she sings, she skateboards, and to top it off she models. She has been signed to famous artist Pharell label, Star Trak/Interscope. She has made the famous "Chicken Noodle Soup" dance popular and has choregraphed Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" video. i think this girl has sooooooooo much potenttial in being the next super star and plus she has soooo much swagg, which makes her even better. From her skaterboy ways to her girly girl ways, she's going to be someone to look out for in the near future.

The Freshest Shoes of the Month

Ok,ok I oouldn't just choose one pair of shoes to be "The Freshest Shoes Of the Month". I chose three because i could contain myself when I seen them on the computer. I just have to have them! The three pairs of shoes I chose are the sickest of them all. The first I chose was the gold dunks withlook very intricate detail of the fishscales on the shoe and it has see through gold gum bottom with a koi fish. The second chose was the irridescent dunks with the see through rainbow bottom. And last but not least I chose the "Off Air" dunks because they look like a t.v. that has no signal. But like I said a couple months ago nike dunks are my favorite type of shoes because they have the most unique style, swagg, and colors. They always come with a second pair of shoe strings just if you want to switch it up a bit. You usually can find these type of shoes at your local shoe stores like Journeys,Nike Town,Footlocker, and Finishline, just to name a few. They usually cost around $59..99 to $149.99 just depend on what you're looking for. So here they are in all their glory, one above and two below. Enjoy!!!!

The Top Hits In Music

OK, OK, Its been a while since singer/rapper Corey Hodges has came out with something new. Born in Atlanta,Georgia, he made a name for himself, which is Lil' Corey. The last time we've heard from him was when he made the hit titled "Hush Lil' Lady" was featuring Lil' Romeo and his other "first time. Both songs created around the time when he was 13. But now he's back with a more mature type of of swagg, as you will hear in his latest song titled "Say Yes". He 's currently signed with Jive records and is 20 years old now. He's still singing but he's not as exposed as he was years ago. So keep an eye out on him. He might be a big name again!

Maaaaaaannnnnnnn, The GS Boyz has a made a big hit with their new song and dance titled "Stanky Legg". The song/dance is part of the D-Town boogie, which is taking place down in Dallas, Texas. The masterminds behind this dance is GS's own Southside and his partner Prince Charming. Southside explained how it went down."He started doing his leg, like that," Southside said, explaining the motion where his partner Prince started rotating his leg in front of him, the way you would twist your foot to put out cigarette, except using the whole leg. "I was like, 'Hey, that looks stanky.'" And thus Stanky Legg was born. The Stanky Legg isn't the only thing that is taking part of the D-Town boogie. Lil' Will's "My Dougie" and B Hamps " Do the Ricky Bobby"is also apart of the movement. The D-Town Boogie isn't just about music and dance, some say it's a state of mind and others says it's all about swagg , and thats how I view it too.Their video is below.

My Thoughts on Blogging

The way I feel about blogging is an emotion that I would describe as a very cool sensation that I get feel each time I blog. I love that I get to express my feelings towards certain subjects that I really care about. Even though I do think its kinda stupid at some points, its a way that people can get to know me on a different level. I mean the first time I found out that we were going to blog in class, threw me off a little because I didn't understand what blogging had to do with perspectives, but then I began thinking about it more and I came to realize that it has to do with media and the world around us. Blogging is just a way to express your opinion to the public and a way to show the important things that happens around us. So now and then I do look forward to blogging, and then i get to thinking that I should've started blogging a long time ago.

The Movie is rated R for language of course, some brief nudity and drugs. the movie is set to come out in March of 2009. So keep an eye out for it, I know I will. The movies trailer is below.

The New Style

Let's just say scarves are in now. You probably have seen them on celbrities like Lil Wayne, Omarion, Kanye West, and Chris Brown just to name a few. They come in a variety of colors and styles. Most people(most guys) are wearing the shag style with a bold pattern on them like the one in the picture or the name brand ones like Louis Vuiton or Gucci. Others (girls) are wearing them in their hair or either the classic way, which is around your neck( duhhhh). The price range for this unique style will probably set you back about $9.99 to $24.99 just depending on who selling it, what brand it is, or what type of style it is. You can probably find these scarves at Hot Topic, Spencers, and Rue 21, just depending on where you shop. But go cop one, I bet you'll be the one with the sickest swagg around.

Now for the other side of sick swagg is the wallet chains/jean chains. These chains really make what you'er wearing pop out more. I have seen these chains on eveyone and I have seen them everywhere. They originated in the 1930s and 40s, when people used to wear them with zoot suits. But now the chains usually give you a rockstar feel. When I used to see them on people, it was mostly on goths (no offense), but now I see them on celebrities, my friends, and students at school. These chains cost $3.00 to $39.99, just depending on style category they are in or how well they're made. You can usually find these at Hot Topic, Spencers, local venders at the mall, and the internet.

All About Social- Networking

Woooooooowwwwwww, Myspace has made it big in the last few years or should I say six years. Since its debut in 2003, myspace has over two hundred million members with 230,00 new users getting added each day. The site had over 12 billion views since october 2005. The site hosts an inventive way of advertising media and music artists to their audience of young teens and adults with a good amount of income. The whole site alone is worth about 6 billion dollars(thats alot of dinero). The thing I love about myspace is that you can personalize your page by adding a background, music, and other posts. Like say for me I added Nike Dunks, Adidas, and Air Force ones on my posts because I love tennis shoes. Also you get to add interesting facts about youself that people might be interested in. So go log on, and add yourself a friend, and if you don't have one, what are you waiting for???!!! Go make one and enjoy yourself!

The Chi City Car Show

Mannnn you don't know how excited I am for the Chicago Auto Show, which happens every year. This show has everything that a young teenager would want, which is a Car!!! The show begins on Febuary 13th and ends on the 22nd. It always takes place at the McCormick Place. The tickets usually range from $10 to $16 dollars depending on whether you want good parking included. The thing I love about the show is that you get to see concept cars, which are cars that never go into production, but it gives you an inside view on the new technology and new trends that will be coming in the future. I also love that you get to sit in some of the cars that people dream of having If I were you I would go early so you don't have to push way through the crowds of people. So be sure to check that out, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
