My Reflections On Blogging

Thinking about my experience of blogging..... I think about the assignments we had to do for the weeks, I think about the amount of words that I need to write, and I think about how hard it was to be motivated to blog. But now I'm thinking different. I really enjoyed blogging because I got to talk about the things that really mattered to me even if they weren't really important to others around me. I mean as you could see I loved talking about tennis shoes....thats because tennis shoes are my life....wait.... not really. One of my favorite things to do was to customize my blog to fit my personality, even though I really couldn't do much to it, it still felt like it was apart of me. One of the things I noticed while blogging was that I was growing in my computer skills(mabe), but really..,. I noticed that I was growing to become more interested in my school work and more into my blog. I started writing on my blog like someone was really goinig to read it, I mean some people were but its ok. I loved that I got to express myself throughout my blog, it kind of made me feel like I was important... it made me feel like I was outspoken, usually I keep to myself until something I really care about is mentioned..... wait let me take that back because I talk to people I really don't even know Lol. The koo thing about the whole experince was that I got to look at other peoples blogs to get ideas. The ways I came up with ideas on my blog was that I had conversations with my friends about certain things or I either read something the magazine or on the internet.............overall the experince was great and I would like to thank my teacher Mr. Ayers for introducing me to blogging, I had fun!

Ok I don't know what the deal is now a days, but I have been seeing sooooo many people wearing these glasses. Everybody is usually getting their glasses in a black plastic rimmed form tomake them seem kind of nerdy. I have seen these glasses on celebs like Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne. I mean I like them but I don't know if I really want to be everybody else.......as i think about it ...... I guess being a nerd is kind of koo. I mean people are wearing plaid shirts, suspenders and converse all stars, all of which is the attire of plenty of famous nerds. Its crazy thinking about how everybody resented nerds and they always made fun of them, but now people are trying so hard to be like them. But anyways ...... the glasses you can probably find at any eyeglass place but the only thing you probably have to worry about is the pricing, I mean i can't find the pricing right now but all i got to say is that it depends on the namebrand you want for the glasses. So go head and get your nerd on!

The New Artists In The Game

Ever since I've seen this music video on the computer, I've been addicted to this song called "Slow Jukin", which is sung a new/old and up-coming- artist Young Steff. He's currently signed to Richcraft/Alantic Records. As a young child Steff experienced the lime light with his father, who was in a gospel group named Spirit. He used to compete in talent shows (which he usually won) and always wooed the audience with his ability to hit certain notes. At age twelve his demo landed in the hands of Roca-Fella Records owners Jay-z and Damon Dash and to his surprise he got signed. During his time with the Roc he made a name for himself with his hit "Can I Holla" which featured Bow Wow. As his stardom became known something came around that he didn't expect....the owners of the record label he was signed to were parting ways. So he had to make a difficult decision.... it was either to stay with Damon Dash and the label that he just newly created or move on and venture on his own. So what do you think he chose to do... he chose to move on with life and become a free agent. After making the decision, life's journey led him to success once again. He's back on the block with his album rumored to be titled "Jump It Off' which was supposed to be released in September 8th 2008 , but now its supposed to be out in early 2009. So when his album comes out I think everone shuld go out and buy it, to show him suome love. Below is his new video for his hit Slow Jukin', enjoy!

The Only Book I Really Liked!

This book by far is the only book I really got into besides the other books I read in the past. The story of how I found the book is pretty kool. It all started when a group that I participated in went to Atlanta to stay there for a week and on one of the days we were there, we went to a all African American book store called the Shrine of the Black Madonna. We had to buy a book there and I was looking but I couldn't find nothing that really caught my eye or my attention, but at the end of my journey of finding a book this cover caught me off gaurd because of the color and characterization on it. So I read the back of the back of the book which had the little summary on it and that just intrigued me even more, so I had to buy it. But heres the down fall I showed the book to my teacher and she told me to get a better book, so i did, but it was not good at all.So when i came back home I made it my mission to go find and buy this book. So I completed my mission and everything went as plan. I began to read and instantly I got caught up, I couldn't stop reading it. My parents were really proud of me because they really never seen me read a book on my free time. The story was amazing, it told a tale abouta dude named Wasuan Wells who has two loves--one is his beautiful girl of two years, Enychi Carter, and the other is his love for dice. Rollin' dice is an everyday hustle for Wasuan, and he's one of the best the hood has ever seen. No one can defeat him. That is, until he stumbles across a dude from the same hood named Tone who has just as much confidence, a little too much mouth, lots of cash to back it up, and a strong desire for Wasuan's girl. When Wasuan is challenged and the stakes grow high, he finds himself caught out in deeper waters than he can swim in, with Tone dangling three options: pay up, take his last breath, or sacrifice something much greater...his girl, Enychi. But when Enychi agrees to spend one night with Tone in order to save her man's life, she finds herself caught up in an unwilling love triangle like the streets have never known. Love, betrayal, lies, sex and money are just the beginning in this scandalous tale, where loyalties are put to the ultimate test. So if you want a good read, you should go to your local library or book store and go cop this book because it is really good!

Look What I Found

Ok I was browsing through my blog archives looking for any mistakes I could of made while I posting my blogs and all of a sudden my eyes caught something......it was the tennis shoes that Keri Hilson was wearing in her photograph. So of course I had to go on the web to see what type of brand they are and came up the name of Creative Recreations. I have seen these shoes on almost every rapper/hip hop artist out in this game from group members of Day26 to Soulja Boy. The deal with these shoes is that you probably won't be able to find these shoes every where like nike dunks or adidas, you would probably have to look in the big cities such as Chicago and New York ( just a couple of examples) to get these shoes. For these shoes you'd have to dig really deep into your pockets to buy these, the usually range from $79.95 to $219.95 depending on what style of shoe you're looking for. Sometimes you can find these shoes at a cheap price like $48.88, but the deal with that is that they don't look as good as the others. The shoes come in four to seven different styles each under a certain subject, so you have a lot of selections to choose from. So go check out the web, I bet you'll find something that will suit your fancy lol!

What Has Missy Been Up To>>>>>

Man its been a while since we've heard from Missy. The last time we've heard from her was with her two hits "Shake Ya Pom Pom" and "Ching-A Ling", on ABDC, and a few adidas commercials. Other than that she's probably been busy working on her up in coming album "Block Party". But let me take you back to all the crazy- issshhhh she has done in the past years. She is the only woman rapper to have six album certified platinum. She has had crazy hits and videos such as " The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)", "Hot Boyz", "Get Ur Freak On", "One Minute Man", "Work It", "Pass That Dutch", "Gossip Folks", "Lose Control", "Ching-A Ling/Shake Ya Pom Pom" and many many more. She has worked with sooooooo many female artist its not even funny. They range from Janet Jackson to Jazmine Sullivan. Most of her greatness is associated with her friend Timbaland. She has a clothing line titled Respect M.E. (which the me can stand for me or either missy elliott)produced by adidas. I can't wait to see what see has in store for the future. The thing I love about Missy is she always shows a new dance in her videos whether its footworkin' or even break dancing. She also puts kids who can dance in her videos too. But besides that I think missy is going to sticking around for a looooooonnngggg time because of her ridiculous swagg and confidence that she has. So who knows if she's going to be the next icon......wait.....she already is!

The Kicks of the Month.....Sooo Sick

Ok I know its been a month or so since I've done the kicks of the month, but now I've brought it back. Anyways like usual I chose a few pair of kicks that I think are the freshest/sickest of them all. The ones above are from the Royale Dontrelle collection, they have three main colors throughout the shoe which you probably can tell is red, orange, and white. The shoes also have intricate details with the playing cards on the side of the shoe to the weaving/swirling pattern on the toe of the shoe. These shoes right here doesn't really have alot, but I still think they're kool. The title of these is "Thrashin". The shoes are going for a 80's theme this year with dunks celebrating skateboarders of the 80s. They come in two colorways inspired by 80s skateboarding video games. The dunks feature a white upper with black accents, neon yellow gums, light blue/grayish midsole, and a pink and blue nike swoosh. Last but definitely not least is the Santana Edition. I really do like these shoes. They have two different color stitching which are pink and teal blue. They're basically all black leather with some patent black leather on the sides. The only downfall for these shoes is the little plant on the side, which would be called Mary Jane, thats why it kind of looks like a woman. It also display the plant on the under side of the shoe, that why the gums of the shoe is see through teal blue so they can expose the little secret it has hidding under the shoe. But hopefully that doesn't take away the sickness of the shoe. Like always I say you basically can find these shoes any where, they come with two different pairs of shoe strings, an they usually cost around $59.99 to $149.99. So keep ya swagg up and go cop some of these!
